ACP Membership Fee 2009
ACP News [Fri Dec 18th, 11:53]
Dear ACP members,
We kindly remind you that the deadline for the annual payment of the membership fee is 31st of December 2009.
The results of players who failed to pay their membership fee before the deadline will not be counted for the ACP Tour and Women Series 2008-2009.
The ACP Board has taken the following decision concerning membership fees.
Starting from the year 2009, ACP members will be able to pay their fees for two or three years in advance. In case they wish to do so, they will benefit from the following discount:
- ACP membership fee for 1 year: 30 euros (as before)
- ACP membership fee for 2 years: 55 euros (instead of 60)
- ACP membership fee for 3 years: 80 euros (instead of 90)
For new members, the ACP fee is still at 50 euros for the first year. But they too can benefit from the discount, if they wish to pay in advance:
75 euros for 2 years (instead of 80), or 100 euros for 3 years (instead of 110).
This measure should ease the task of the Treasurer and reward trusting members.

First ACP Women World Rapid Cup
ACP News [Thu Dec 10th, 12:12]
Alexandra Kosteniuk wins the First ACP Women World Rapid Cup! CONGRATULATIONS!
All details on http://womenrapid2009.tsf.org.tr/ ACP BoardAlexandra shares the following impressions about the ACP Women Rapid Cup and the ACP in general:
I am glad that I was able to change my schedule at relatively short notice to be able to fly to Turkey and take place in this great tournament. I was attracted by the prestige of the event and by the strong competition taking part, such as GM's Pia Cramling and Monika Socko, the sisters Tatiana and Nadezhda Kosintseva (Tatiana is GM, Nadezhda is IM), of course the very solid Viktorija Cmilyte, Natalia Zhukova, and Lela Javakhishvili, and some more good players. I knew the level would be very high and that I would have to give it my best. At the end, I am very satisfied with my 10/11, which corresponds to a performance of 2746 ELO! I made a full report about the tournament on my blog at http://www.chessblog.com/2009/12/kosteniuk-wins-first-acp-women-world.html
