This meeting took place during the European Individual Championship in Plovdiv, on April 27th 2008. Both the ECU and the ACP were represented by 4 members of their boards.

I international conference "Sports Marketing: the two sides of the coin"

The 1st international conference “Sports Marketing: the two sides of the coin” was held on the 28th of March in Kiev, Ukraine. The participants in the event were representatives of both business and major sports federations: football, basketball, boxing, etc.

Rates for meals in official hotels during the European Individual Championships in Plovdiv

In response to our enquiry, the organizers of the European Individual Championships in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) informed us that the price for lunch and dinner in all official hotels during the tournaments will amount to 10.00 EUR (for every meal).

ATTENTION! Deadline for inscription to the European Individual Championship 2008

The ACP and the ECU have reached the agreement that the ECU would extend to April 10th the deadline for inscription to the European Individual Championship 2008 in Plovdiv, for those ACP members who have not yet decided whether they would participate in this event.

We, therefore, ask all ACP members who are still hesitating on their decision, to inform us at gmtregubov@hotmail.com before March 15th, 2008. We shall notify the ECU, so that a place in the European Championship will be reserved for them until April 10th 2008.

Dear ACP members,

The new ACP Board was elected during the 2007 General Assembly (http://www.chess-players.org/eng/news/viewarticle.html?id=692) and started its work on 1.01.2008.

We want to thank you for your trust.

During the new board’s first meeting, Pavel Tregubov put forward candidates to the four administrative posts, and all of them agreed to take over the proposed functions.

Following preliminary consultations, a vote was held, which confirmed the Board’s support to all candidates. As a result, the duties are distributed as follows:

President – Vadim Morokhovsky (Ukraine, Chairman of “Pivdenny bank”)

Board Director – Pavel Tregubov (Russia, Grandmaster)

General Secretary – Igor Glek (Germany, Grandmaster)

Treasurer – Yannick Pelletier (Switzerland, Grandmaster)
